I mean, it's on my business card for goodness sake. It's the list item I'm most often asked about. It also might snag the award for "most random" on the list. And, as it turns out, it was one of the hardest ones to check off.
I set out to see the sun rise and tuck it self in, in the same day- three separate times, in three separate countries. Turns out, it's not an easy feat. Especially when one of my other fav travel activities is to drink the local beer.
Okinawa is a jewel of an island adorned with waterfalls, adorable cafes, and some of the bluest blue water I've ever laid my eyes on. But not all of it is beautiful. One thing in particular is downright terrifyingly h i d e o u s.

Jet-lagged, terrifically hungover, awake for a solid 36 hours on a trifecta of flights, and partying like I was nineteen after being reunited with my bestie? Seems like the perfect time to immerse myself in learning a brand s p a n k i n g new skill. Amirite?
This list item isn't something you can necessarily plan. And, well, I definitely didn't plan on being pulled through a narrow AF ancient tunnel by the arms of an archeologist grandpa in the undercarriage of the Turkish countryside. Most definitely. Not. Planned.
I like to read. But, if I'm being honest, I haven't read many of the "classics." So, for #10, I set out to do just that, and tie it into my travels (naturally).
Sure, I'll put it on my list. Sure, I'll travel to Norway and go forth towards the North Pole. Sure, I'll cross my fingers and hope that I am lucky enough to experience some sort of magic in the sky.
I wanted to do something that reminded me of being a kid. Of being carefree. Of my heart feeling light. And happy. Nothing too complicated. Just simple.
Thing is, ever since our train car passed the river where I spotted a fly fisherman in action, I knew; I DECLARED even, that I had to check off "try fly fishing" in Austria. Austria sure wasn't making it easy though.
